This hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. The whole hotel is beautifully decorated and the rooms are very spacious and super comfortable (good lighting, enough outlets, space to hang clothes and put your bags), you get access to a great kitchen with fridge and freezer, free water, a pool, and wonderful common areas to hang out. The bed is huge and comfortable and it's relatively quiet by Mexican standards. I slept very well. I also really appreciated the extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful staff. It's a small hotel and you almost feel at home. The location is PERFECT. A supermarket, laundries, and a convenience store are located next door. The cenote and local market are within 1-2 min walking distance. The main plaza can be reached within 5-10 minutes of walking but several good dining options are even closer. I recommend X-Mahana and Caroline Cacao closeby, the taqueria opposite of the hotel is also good. I extended my stay here. Unfortunately my room was already booked but I was able to move into a different room early, so I could move my things directly and didn't have to wait until check-in time.

My trip through Quintana Roo (Cancún, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Tulum) was full of problems and I would have left Mexico very disappointed. Luckily, our trip finished in Valladolid (Yucatán) and we had a completely different experience. The city is fantastic, people are nice, prices are reasonable. It was such a joy to stay at Hotel & Suites Country because the staff was so friendly and were very helpful in supporting our final plans. We stayed for one night only and didn't use the pool facilities, but everything about our stay went fantastically well. Thank you! Together with the diving experiences, Valladolid and this hotel were the only good things about my Mexico trip.

The hotel was really good and clean, the room was comfortable. Nice and friendly people working there. Kitchen was good too. Location is amasing. BUT! I really don`t like the situation with cash payment. AFTER my booking I`ve got a message from the hotel, that payment is by cash only. I was not ready for this, we was travelling and spend almost all cash. I wanted to cancel my booking and book another place after this message, but I couldn`t because if I cancel, I need to pay anyway by politic of cancelations, I`ve wrote my card detales for guarantee. When I`ve booked, I see payment options and there was a lot of options, cards also. I did print screen by my phone with payment options but it didn`t help. Lady on the reception saw my screen, smile and sad "Sorry, cash only". Finally we`ve found a way, they accepted my bank transaction only because I have mexican card. Thanks a lot for this. I don`t know what could I do if I didn`t have local card. I asked them to contact booking, but they didn`t. Owner, please, write all information about payment options correct BEFORE the booking, not after! Anyway, I give 10 stars because I like the hotel. Just I`m writing here about payment because it`s important for travellers.
