We have been there before, and it's hard to complain about a modern room, 10 floors up, with a stunning view. The only downside is that it's not cheap to stay there, it's quite pricey.

Surrounded by forest, Hotel Koldingfjord is set in an impressive 1911 building, just a 12-minute drive from central Kolding. It offers rooms with flat-screen satellite TVs and free WiFi. Well.. a nice surprise. A few years ago, a colleague stayed a few times and did not rate the place. Not sure if it's changed ownership, but it's a beautiful, quirky building, very nicely restored in a mid century kind of way. I was in a room in the 700s which are on the hillside through a James Bond villain tunnel and lift. Nicely appointed room, well done bathroom all super clean. And an actual minibar. With things in it. Proper cups for coffee, not paper. A former colleague joined for dinner in the Cafe, with well presented food and good service, the downstairs bar is really a hidden gem too. All in all, way exceeded my expectations and thoroughly recommend it.

In the center of Vejle, surrounded by the luscious green city park, you’ll find The Note. We are an international hotel of high standards. We are elegant and understated – just like Vejle. Great hotel, helpful staff and amazing breakfast. Our room was facing the park, so we had lovely view and as we're traveling with our dog, the position of the hotel made the walks easy and joyful. Would stay here again.

A recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Haderslev, Berits Bed and Breakfast features a garden. There is a private entrance at the bed and breakfast for the convenience of those who stay. A perfect place for a stop on a road trip: close to the main highway, and still very silent and chill location. The checkin was flexible and the host very responsive.And I very much enjoyed, how we were taken care of and could relax and recover well within one night. Thank you a lot!

Offering a garden and garden view, Holiday Rooms Møllebo is situated in Ansager, 27 km from Legoland Billund and 22 km from Museum Frello. Location and tidiness was great. Everything was clean, modern and well maintained.

A charming, big, sunny apartment with two bedrooms, full kitchen and dining area. The bathroom was very good. The street is quiet and pretty. It is just off the main pedestrian street and a five minute walk from most of the major sites. The manager also manages the Cafe Quenens around the corner. She is terrific and full of information. The cafe is great and has a lovely rose garden in the back with tables. Breakfast at the cafe is include and was very good.

Boasting garden views, Jensens B&B offers accommodation with a garden and a terrace, around 17 km from Legoland Billund. Everything was fine. I recommend.

Offering a garden and garden view, Foldenhus Ferieboliger og B&B is set in Bogense, 1.3 km from Bogense Strand and 29 km from Train Station Odense. We liked everything. The location is perfect, right in the center of Bogense, and there is a designated parking spot. Our room was clean, cozy and comfortable and there was a nice kitchen next door which was great. Freddy, the host, put an American flag in front of the entrance, a nice welcome. He was so kind, helpful and friendly. The breakfast was a typical Danish spread, very nice, and we ate upstairs in a beautiful room filled with sunlight. The very best thing for us at this property was to be able to relax and enjoy the beautiful garden. Pictures below.
