Crover House Hotel & Golf Club is located on the North-East shores of Lough Sheelin Lake between Cavan and Ballyjamesduff. How friendly the staff were. Regan on reception and the other receptionist, were a joy to check in with. The concierge was such a gentleman. Fantastic service

With an 18-hole championship golf course, a 20-metre pool and a luxurious spa, Slieve Russell Hotel is set within 300 acres of grounds. This is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful location. The rooms were large and beautifully decorated. It had all the amenities you would expect in a high end hotel. The views out our room of the golf course were lovely. The included breakfast was a typical European buffet with all the variety you would expect. The hotel is not really near anything, so you are going there to enjoy that property. And there is much to enjoy. We wished we could have stayed there longer.

This 18th-century castle has a quiet location, looking out over huge grounds and beautiful countryside. It is now a 4-star hotel, mixing original character with modern luxury and free parking. This property really opens the doors to yesterdays world, I love the way you can sit in the royal rooms and experience the castle as if you were a resident there, it’s truly a unique experience. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for romantic weekend away.

We had a wonderful stay at this guest house! Everything was spotless and very well maintained. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful house, in an absolutely stunning environment. Meticulously clean. Everything you could possibly need supplied. It’s actually an 3 bedroom house, not a 1 bed. Outstanding.

Toddys Hideaway is set in Cavan, 12 km from Cavan Genealogy Centre, 20 km from Ballyhaise College, and 23 km from Drumlane Abbey. I wanted to immerse myself in the Irish countryside and I wanted to have some rest and quiet reflection about ancestors who came from this area as well as to go to Dublin for the day to see a friend and go to the theatre.
