Our 3 year old son is normally scared of dogs but he loved Mowi and Katla. He played every day with them. The dogs are so friendly to childeren and we enjoyed their company so much. Offering a garden and quiet street view, South Central Guesthouse is situated in Selfoss, 48 km from Geysir and 44 km from Ljosifoss. it seemed like a place running on its own as we haven't met any staff members (we arrived late though and left before 10am), but based on the cleanliness and organisation, there must be a group of talented people working in the background :) well-equipped kitchen, pleasant atmosphere, interesting communal areas. I recommend it to everyone :)

Spacious, quiet, home like apartment. We can find all we need. Although it is not real kitchen, having oven and fridge are great and enough for us. Hosts are kind and responsive, living in the same house. As it's not real separate apartment, guests and hosts are indeed sharing living up&downstairs. Therefore one may hear each other if anyone is loud. But it's not really a big deal for us. We appreciate for the accommodation.

We stayed in a bigger house. The house was beautifully designed. The beds were comfy. The house also had personal hot tub/hot spring. The retreat has amazing restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.
