We really enjoyed our stay and Akureyri is really a gem worth visiting!

This hotel is quietly situated 2 km from Lake Mývatn and 30 minutes’ drive from the Godafoss Waterfall and Krafla Crater. It offers free Wi-Fi and rooms with modern furnishings. Loved the place very scenic. The staff was amazing too. We were running late for dinner at the hotel and the restaurant was going to close by the time we got there. The Staff managed to put away food for us on the side this way when we got to the hotel we had all the meals ready. Thank you hotel Laxa for the great hospitality and good stay!

The house was gorgeous, authentic, modern and sleek. We were so impressed with the beauty of the place, with delightful touches at every turn. An oasis of calm. Wish we could stay longer. Beautiful, clean cottage with all the amenities. We stayed 2 days and we were very comfortable. The shower and water pressure were excellent. The hot tub was very welcoming after a long day of walking & visiting. We highly recommend this place
