Take a left bend at another Starbucks and you can see the hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The decor, right from the entrance to the lobby to the rooms, is fantastic. Room was surprisingly large and tastefully furnished. Because of its central location, it’s within walking distance to many attractions such as Kenrokuen gardens, Samurai district and Omicho market among others. Would stay here again! We had dinner on the 14th at the restaurant, very good food. Note: The staff are standing all the time from morning to evening for some reason, they should be allowed to sit when the can I feel.

The breakfast was perfect and offered a large choice of high value foods like different green salads, vedgetables, avocado, juices in addition to one of the basic breakfast sets. Very friendly staff at the reception and restaurant.

This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space. it’s very close nohi bus station! And the facilities in the room is very useful, you can cook and do laundry inside the room. the best of all, they have a cooperation hotel, which serves hot spring during the day, although you have to walk six minutes to reach there. By the way, if you really like shopping in the supermarket, there are two big supermarkets within 10 minutes walking distance.

Location is perfect for visiting the Omicho Market, Oyama Shrine, the Castle and the Gardens.

Conveniently situated in the centre of Takayama, HOTEL WOOD TAKAYAMA provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The location was fantastic. The rooms were clean, modern and minimalistic but very cozy and comfortable. The raised platform was helpful to organise luggage and warm clothes. Room was very clean. The free drinks in the lounge were a very nice touch as there’s not much to do in takayama in the evening. Restaurants close early so one has to have early dinner. So liked handing out in the lounge with drinks after a long day. Did not have the breakfast so can’t comment but the place is so well located that there are so many good options around. don’t understand why western people would order breakfast expecting western breakfast and then complain they didn’t like it

If the weather allows it, you have a perfect view of Mt. Fuji-san! The staff were amazing, really helpful and even assisted us with ordering food from outside, as we arrived quite late. Also the room had an amazing balcony view of the lake & mountains. The private open air bath was also really great!
