Set in Matsukawa, 24 km from The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, ワールドカリーの館 すぱいすろーど offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. The hotel located along the Oito Line that was accessible by car or taxi from Shinano-Matsukawa, Kita-Hosono or Hosono station. We had multiple email and message communications with the owners. Atsu responded to reassure that our commute concern would be solved. He would pick us up and drop off at Hosono station. The price of the hotel was very affordable and could walk to train station if having no luggage. Atsu was very accommodating to our trip plan change. He was thoughtful to drop us to the Shinano-Matsukawa station that the waiting area was warmer & was in town. Guest rooms were on the 2nd floor of a Curry Restaurant. Atsu helped carrying the suitcase up to the room & brought us furniture that we needed. He was also the chef of the restaurant. The food was yummy. We highly recommended this

We loved everything about our stay at Yadoya Shiroganeya. Maki is an excellent host and her mother is an amazing cook! The local food of Nagano was delicious and hand picked by Maki herself. We had fun making friends with the resident pets Fukumaru and Kenta. We were even lucky enough to see snow during our stay, but we were cozy and warm inside at all times. There are so many lovely touches to this property that made it one of the most special places we’ve ever stayed. We hope to visit again!

Takimi Onsen Inn that only accepts one group per day features a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 9.1 km of Otsumago and 9.3 km of Kotoku-ji Temple. We had a lounge, bedroom, beautiful private Onsen. The setting is spectacular and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. He speaks fairly good English and is happy to pick you up and drop you off. The food was amazing - authentic, delicious, bountiful.

Tsutaya Tokinoyado Kazari features an open-air bath, free bikes, a garden and bar in Kiso. This 4-star ryokan provides a spa experience, with its hot spring bath and hot tub. The location is stunningly beautiful and peacefully quiet. The food is exceptional and the staff were attentive. If you want a real Japanese experience this is the place. I highly recommend.

Centrally located in the Echo Land district, Hakuba Echo Hotel and Apartments offers comfortable rooms with mountain views. Location, actual hotel, the staff were good, breakfast perfect.

Opened in August 2012, B&B Hotel Hyochoan offers simple Western-style accommodations. Free in-room WiFi is available and guests can enjoy bird watching from the property’s terrace. Very tranquil place to relax and enjoy the nature. The onsen and Harunire Terrace are not far from the B&B and easy to reach via walk or a short ride (the host could take you there in 5 minutes). The owners are kind and warm. Exceptional breakfast. Definitely will come back ^^

Located within 6.1 km of Matsumoto Station and 8.5 km of The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum, Matsumoto Jujo provides rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Matsumoto. This is the place you won’t find anywhere else. There is private open-air onsen bathtub and it is just perfect. It was snowing when we stayed, which added to the ambiance. Food was also great. They use lots of local ingredients and arranged them in such a beautiful way. It was a wonderful experience, so much better than we expected. Definitely highly recommended.

Hakuba Tokyu Hotel is an 8-minute drive from JR Hakuba Station and a 3-minute drive from Happo-One Bus Terminal. A free 2-way shuttle to both destinations is provided upon prior reservation. Luxurious hotel , clean, great cuisine, very courteous and helpful staff ?in particular. Mr R. Dhamala

Located in the centre of Shibu hot-spring area and a 5-minute drive from Yudanaka Train Station, Sakaeya offers Japanese-style accommodations. Beautiful small, cozy ryokan. We had a private onsen in our room and it was wonderful! Staff were beyond friendly and the food was amazing.

A 3-minute walk from Yudanaka Station, Hotel Tsubakino features indoor and outdoor hot spring baths with a vista of snowy mountain peaks. The hotel offers Japanese-style rooms with free Wi-Fi. Although I checked in late, the staff was so accomodating. It was a great experience being here during winter. Such a beautiful place
