Featuring great views of Mount Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Konanso boasts natural hot spring baths and large Japanese-style rooms with traditional tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Amazing experience of a traditional ryokan. The staff was excellent, kind and helpful at all times, rooms were clean and tidy, ours had an amazing view of the lake. You can use most of the facilities for free with some additional ones having a fee. We chose the included dinner and breakfast option, dinner was an amazing experience full of flavors and textures we were not used but definitely liked. Breakfast was pretty good, buffet style, but with both Japanese and western options. In terms of location, I think it’s really good depending on what you want to visit. It is just in front of the lake, and has the red line (i think) bus stop right in front of it, which we used to get there from the train station and to get to other tourist spots around the lake. There’s a lawson just outside, the boat ride in the lake and the panoramic ropeway are also just a few minutes walk away which was very convenient.

Offering beautiful Mount Fuji views from all rooms, public baths, and restaurants, Mizno Hotel is a 5-minute drive from Kawaguchiko Train Station. Our room was an upgrade, except we could not get an upgraded room with one big bed. We had to take two twin beds. My wife and I have not slept separately in years, hahaha. But the hotel is incredibly cozy, a great old school vibe, and the room had an unbelievable view of Mt. Fuji. Highly recommend this hotel.

Set in Fujikawaguchiko, 4 km from Lake Kawaguchi, 富士山と河口湖とホテル風鈴 offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a terrace and a restaurant. Our stay at this newly opened, family-owned hotel near Mount Fuji was simply extraordinary. The service was beyond outstanding — warm, personalized, and truly from the heart. Every detail, from the beautifully spacious rooms to the private sauna, reflected impeccable design and ultimate comfort. The entire hotel feels brand new, blending luxury with a profound sense of serenity. The food was another highlight: the chef is among the best in Mount Fuji, offering a dining experience far beyond five-star standards. Every meal, especially the traditional Japanese breakfast, was unforgettable. What truly sets this hotel apart is the genuine care and attention to every guest. It’s a rare gem where luxury, warmth, and authenticity come together perfectly. We are already looking forward to returning to this incredible sanctuary.
