It was raining so we could not use the terrace, unfortunately. Also it was very touching to read the history of the house , indeed this place has a soul. Ekra Cottages is set in Lagarfljótsvirkjun. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. The tour desk is available to assist guests in planning their days out. We can't say enough about the cottage. We stayed for 4 nights, but would love to have stayed longer. It was so peaceful and quiet with a stunning view. The cabin itself was spacious compared to the many other cabins we have stayed in, and it was meticulously clean. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a grill that was easy to use. The beds were comfortable, and the bedroom had blackout shades, which are important during the summer months. Our host was very communicative and helpful. We'd absolutely stay here again.
