Situated within 34 km of Nippon Gaishi Hall and 37 km of Aeon Mall Atsuta, Toyoko Inn Chubu International Airport No1 features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Tokoname. They had a shuttle bus from the hotel but it only took us around the airport to the hotel which is great if you are staying just one night but we found out there was a different shuttle bus called "Tokonyan" and that will take you to Aeon for free and pick up is just behind the hotel. Though Toyoko-inn is known for a business hotel among the country, it was fairly comfortable and great Japanese breakfast, the price point is unbeatable.

I was pleasantly surprised by the attention to the finer details and the hotel seemed to have an old world maritime-aerial theme. Quite appropriate for an Airport hotel situated on a small manmade island, in the Ise Bay of Tokoname city. The front of house girls were extra helpful and we met a very lovely bartender, during happy hour, who again gave me some peace in knowing there are some lovely souls out there, just doing their job but are just as curious as a visitor is to get to know more about the world. Her professionalism and ease of conversation in what must be a second or third language was just the perfect note to finish our holiday in Japan. Plus the perfect kickoff to our mini stay at Singapore on our way home to Sydney.

Many sightseeing attractions, like pottery walking path. Aeon shopping mall has shopping, restaurants, food court. Outside the mall were go-cart rides and kids activities center. Other attractions were boat racing and Costco Wholesale store next to Aeon mall. Some bus rides were free. Tokoname is also close to the International Airport.

One of Japan's six ancient kiln towns. If you are into ceramics it's a brilliant place to visit. If you're not, it's a lovely, relaxed town with nice walks and good places to eat. Very close to Nagoya airport. There is a free shuttle bus into Tokoname or use the station. Home of the lucky waving cat - Maneki Neko!

Fantastic location, just one elevator ride down and you're in the Meitetsu Department Store (1-6/F), Bus Centre (3/F) and Underground Shopping Street (B1/F). Meitetsu express train to NGO Airport & Nagoya Subway is also next door to the hotel. The Front desk staff is friendly and efficient (more efficient than the average hotels in Japan)
