Etango Ranch Guest Farm is situated just 10 minutes' drive away from Windhoek International Airport in a rural property. Very close to the airport for an early morning flight. But also a peaceful, quiet spot in the bush with the usual game to see. The dinner was both tasty and well-presented. We would have loved to stay and have breakfast, but since we were leaving the property at 6 am, we enjoyed a pleasant pre-packed breakfast instead.

Naankuse Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Windhoek. Featuring room service, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. We stayed in a Premier Villa and it was huge! Three big bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room, plus an upstairs with a big table and a patio where we could watch birds and the occasional mammal. The food was great, huge portions or big buffet. It’s on a part of the game reserve with no dangerous animals so you can walk around safely. We saw ostriches, antelopes, hyrax and hare while walking or looking out our window. It’s part of a nonprofit that’s working to preserve and protect animals while working with the local community. We did the “Behind the scenes tour” which was really interesting and fun, loved the baboon walk! Really glad we stayed here!

The accommodations themselves were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, with everything we needed to enjoy a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The owners, Chris and Chrisna, were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. But perhaps the highlight of our stay was the dinner we had at Windhoek Rural Self Catering. It was, without a doubt, the best meal we had on our entire Namibia tour. The food was absolutely delicious, and the setting was perfect - we enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the mountains while savoring each and every bite.
