It is all about location. Very comfortable for a.night when you have to catch an early.flight. you have to.go through passport control to reach it and it is close to many food options. The room was small but had everything I needed for the night and the bed was quite comfortable.

CitizenM has state of the art room. They have made efficient use of the space, in providing all essentials. The location was excellent, a shaded path from schipol airport. The checking procedures were a snap of the finger, with tech friendly keys. The citizenM app was helpful in checking in, in advance and the menu for the restaurant (named Canteen) was available on the app The staff were super friendly and efficient. The comfort of the room surpassed our expectations. The 24 x 7 restaurant had food options which were pleasing to our palate. I totally enjoyed my stay at CitizenM and look forward to using this facility again.

    The Shiphol Airport is our favourite airport to enter and...

    The Shiphol Airport is our favourite airport to enter and leave Europe. The Shiphol Plaza inside the airport gives you the option to eat for the first - or the last time - depends if you're coming or going - a delicious bite of European food. You may also just land with a carry-on and start shopping for clothes there. As Shiphol offers free WiFi you're able to navigate around even if your cell phone plan is not covering Europe. The main hall is also the entrance to the train station where you can start with a train (don't forget to buy a ticket at one of the many ticket machines, or pre-book online) to Amsterdam Centraal Station in the middle of Amsterdam.

    Although our hotel was in an area that felt like a business...

    Although our hotel was in an area that felt like a business park, it was a short walk to a nice, wooded suburban trail. This led to clean, nice neighborhoods. We ended up walking for a little over a mile to a local restaurant in the Sloterweg neighborhood. A very pleasant experience.

    Lovely city close to Schiphool.

    Lovely city close to Schiphool. Lots of nice walking paths around. I love the Seringenpark and windmill in Stommeermolen. Then, you just have to visit the Flower auction Aalsmeer. That is something incredible. The public transportation is very good, but you can also reach all the places easily by walking or by bike.

    It is a bright, clean and comfortable site which offers rooms, apartments and conference facilities. We loved discovering the local shops, 20 minutes away on foot. The pool was perfect for getting a little more exercise before our onward flight home.

    This was a nice area to stay while visiting Amsterdam.

    This was a nice area to stay while visiting Amsterdam. It was about a 25 minute drive to central Amsterdam, but it was very restful to be in a smaller community with a a few small shops, stores and restaurants after spending the day taking in all the sights and sounds of central Amsterdam.

    If you are passing through Schiphol, it's usually good.

    If you are passing through Schiphol, it's usually good. They have a speed track for those making connections with a short layover at passport control. However, in the summer, they get lots of thunderstorms, and so flights don't often arrive on time. If you get stuck there, the Dutch are not particularly warm or helpful, so expect a calloused response to any requests for help, particularly from KLM and the border agents at passport control who seem suspicious about why you are in Amsterdam in the first place.

    The airport is very easy to navigate, staff are friendly and most speak English as well as Dutch. The train, which is in the same area as the airport, requires a credit card for each passenger but is very easy to tap on and off. If you are looking for a good flat white (if you know, you know), look carefully before you order - most places use automatic machines and the coffee is ordinary. Look for an espresso machine.

    Is is a lovely village with very nice people.

    Is is a lovely village with very nice people. Really paceful and a very good place to stay if you have business in the schiphol area or amsterdam. I recommend the restaurants around the beautiful lake and the hotels Blue Mansion, Alsmeer Hotel and Chariot.
