It's not super well connected in terms of getting to main Kyoto sites, but you can walk to the awesome Umekoji park which my kids absolutely love - amazing for water play & the cafe next to the playground is great too. If you want to experience a normal neighbourhood, this is a great way to do it. Toji temple is really close - the monthly (?) flea market there is definitely worth exploring.Guest review byWillFamily with young children
