Built in 1853 and right on the picturesque Fürstenweg, a small path leading to Neuschwanstein Castle, Gutshof zum Schluxen enjoys a quiet location in the middle of fields with grazing cows and horses, and Queen Marie von Bayern stayed here with her sons Ludwig and Otto. Füssen and Reutte are only a 10-minute drive away.

The former estate offers rooms in a Tyrolean style, some of which have a balcony. Additional pillows and blankets are available on request and at a surcharge. We enjoyed the stay in Gutzhof zum Schluxen very much since it's located in a calm valley right next to a farm but still not too far from more touristic places such as Neuschweinstein castle or the town of Füssen. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. We liked that we could order fresh Brezels for breakfast and in the evening we enjoyed the Spielzimmer where we played ping-pong. The accomodation also offers fresh coffee and tea, drinks, snacks or even pizza, which you can buy anytime during the day. Overall, I'd really recommend this beautiful place and will gladly return some day.

The apartment also features free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. Sabrina (Host) was incredible. The views were amazing.

Everything looked clean and new, there was even music in the shower 😍 Personnel were lovely and took dietary request into account for breakfast. Breakfast is like in a 5-star hotel, but for a very reasonable price. Tasty and beautiful. Multiple restaurants are within 20-minute walking distance. We loved our stay!

Beautiful modern new apartment with an excellent very caring host, who even provided a great dinner for us on Saturday night, very quick responses via whattsapp, and we could even do 2 washing loads as we were long underway. I recommend this apartment 100% We even got a going away present. This apartment deserves a 10 plus. There is also a good guest card which takes to lots of places and then you won’t have to find parking which can be hard in the busy places, bus stop is a couple of minutes away, so super handy, we will definitely come again😃

The views of the mountains out the windows were stunning. A nice surprise for visitors from a very flat country.
