The house is at a very convenient yet quiet location. Walking distance to the port and all the restaurants and cafeterias. The owner of the property is a very professional Kayaking and snorkeling guide. He offers boat tours too.

Everything was really nice, from the home made breakfast to dinner, the location really near one of the beautiful beaches of the island.

Jitsuyo-san is an exceptional host, very friendly and accommodating. The room is small, although this is typical for Japanese accommodation but all facilities were included, washing machine, cooking plate, microwave oven, tv from 1995, pots and basic cutlery. Clean small bathroom/shower/toilet (enter forward, exit backwards). We would stay here again

This was our most favorite stay of our whole Japan trip. The main reason for this was that it's a homestay. Our host Takago was sooo great, super super friendly, funny, cool & an amazing cook. Plus we got to meet many other nice travellers there and it was always a nice place to be. The food she cooked for us was amazing and super authentic. The island is small and you can walk almost everywhere. The island itself looks like it's a bit deserted. The houses aren't pretty and there isn't much, so don't be repelled by this. We were a bit suspicious at the start but in the end it was our very favorite thing!
