The room was spacious, impeccably clean, with modern furnishings. Beautiful bath and shower. The bed was huge and comfy. We had breakfast at the hotel and a varied menu was offered, friendly efficient service. Staff were all very upbeat and helpful. We found ample street parking, so no problem there. Wished we could have stayed longer!

The Red Lion is located right on the harbour at Clovelly. Our room was perfectly positioned on the 2nd floor to capture the 180 degree view across the harbour, out to sea and further down the coast. Our room was very spacious, the bed and pillows were super comfortable, comfortable armchairs and coffee table in the bay window allowed us to sit comfortably with a cup of tea (not on the bed) and take in the views. The bay window had opening doors (great for enjoying fresh air!!) onto a large balcony, so we had the choice to sit in or outside. The bathroom was lovely with a very large shower, with a wall niche so that we had somewhere to put our toiletries, soap, etc. These little things really make the difference when you're staying away from home and we really appreciated their attention to detail and practicality. The food in the restaurant and bar was very enjoyable and breakfasts were cooked to our liking (loved the Eggs Benedict with perfectly cooked poached eggs!!). Staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We rated our stay 10 out of 10 and would highly recommend.

The holiday park was fantastic! We booked two bungalows, both with a view on the sea. Reception was flexible, as we could check in and out easily. And the beach was walking distance.
