Beautiful property, very well designed with lots of green space and individual separated rooms for maximum privacy. Aesthetically pleasing design for rooms with well kept and clean interior. Location is superb as well, nice clean beach on the front and beautiful backwater lake on the back and is walking distance from mangroves canoe ride activity. Very serene and peaceful. The owner Prashanth is an amazing host and a great guy, gave us a free upgrade and went above and beyond in his hospitality. A great place to vacation.

The wellcoming from Sajeev and Vijayan was fantastic. We had access to all of the amenities in the house and they provided us with great advice to really enjoy our stay in Varkala. Sharing breakfast with them was great time to talk and learn a bit more about the place and ways to reach our next destination. The level of service was outstanding and they really cared for us during our stay in Madhav Mansion. We would highly recommend it! If you come to Kerela cottage, you’ll notices that you have find a gem between pebbles. This place is located right at the beach with a beautiful seaside view. After arriving you’ll instantly feel more relaxed due to its set-up, the natural surroundings and the personal welcoming you. Compared with the other cottage’s placed along the coastline, this one is really peaceful and quiet. No tourists passing by in this part of town. The place is well located and you’ll be at famous Varkala beach in about twenty minutes of a walk. The boutiques and shops are also nearby. If walking doesn’t suit you, the personal is happy to arrange a rig shaw for you. If you need anything at all, the personal will be there. Wether it is to arrange transport, activities, house cleaning or food. They will take care of it. They are very polite and they will make sure you’ll have the best experience while staying at the Kerela cottage. The cottages themselves are very well maintained, it’s very clean, the furniture is durable and the set up is very cozy. It has all facilities you need to make your stay comfortable. Breakfast in the morning, is also delightful start of they day. With seaside view, awesome food and top service. I would rate the place and it’s personal the highest grade. If you stayed over you understand why it has such a high rating.

Nice quiet location in Odayam, less built up than Varkala itself. Some restaurants nearby and a 10 minute scooty ride from Varkala for more options. 2 minute walk to small beach shared with only 2-3 other resorts. Nice breakfast - options of Kerala style (appam, veg curry) or continental (toast, omelette, fruit) with tea or coffee. Balcony with peaceful view out over paddy fields. A/C + fan work. Clean rooms. Lovely owner/ manager who helped us book scooter rental, Ayurvedic massage easily. We booked for 2 nights initially but decided to stay for 4.

The staff were exceptional. Everyone we encountered at the hotel was polite, helpful and friendly, especially the young men working in the restaurant (Amit and others). They are kind to local stray animals which means a lot to us! The room was clean, had a fan and AC. Well equipped bathroom with warm shower. Bottled water was provided each day which was a nice touch. We ate at the restaurant for every meal during our 2 night stay in Varkala and the food was delicious. The hotel is on a coastal walk with great sunset view points and sea eagles 5 mins away. There isn't anywhere to access the sea directly from the hotel but it is quite choppy anyway (August). You need to walk north for maybe 30 mins to get to a larger beach.

The Quilon Beach Hotel & Convention Center is located at Kollam, facing Arabian Sea and the Backwaters. The luxurious hotel offers spa facilities and a swimming pool.

the place is very quite, super close to the beach and just 10 minutes walking from the cliff. nice and spacious room with Ac and fan. bathroom was clean and large. hot water running without any problems. Owners very helpful with everything and Kerala breakfast served in the morning was delicious
