Beach Hotels in Anjiabe

Everything, starting from the staff, the food, our own bungalow with views… it was sad leaving this place, we had an amazing experience and we felt in family with Berenice and the staff!

When we arrived in „Komba Forever“ we were totally blown away. The beautiful beach, the lovely bungalows, the stunning garden and the views of the surrounding ocean, islands and main land. We found all this absolutely spectacular. We were received by Annie and she made us feel at home from the very first second. At this place there are only 4 bungalows so it felt very exclusive to us. Mostly we had the beach all to ourselves. Just the locals -especially children- pass by on the beach and they have always been smiley and friendly. We were very happy with our bungalow. We felt very comfortable and we appreciated the nice attention to detail. We found everything very clean and in excellent condition. From the restaurant there are beautiful views over the garden and the ocean. The breakfast and the 3 course lunch and dinner served here have been excellent every time. We don’t want to spoiler too many things about this place because we think you should find it all out by yourself. Just don’t hesitate to book this place because it is amazing in every way. We left „Komba Forever“ with tears in our eyes. We would have loved to stay there much longer. In our eyes this place is a true gem, something you come across only a few times in your life. And then a final word to our host Annie: She is so wonderful, always bright and shiny and the made things even more memorable then they already were. She was always in control of things, everything was perfectly arranged. And she spoke very good English as well. Actually all the staff have been great and super friendly but Annie puts hospitality on a whole new level. She is definitely the cherry on the cake.

We spent a wonderful week at this beautiful new small hotel, nestled like a botanical garden between the ocean and the forest. It’s lovingly built and run by a fantastic family, and from the very first moment you feel completely at home in this vibrant natural paradise. On Nosy Komba there are no cars or tuc-tuc, just peace and quiet. The bungalows are spotlessly clean, with a modern design that blends local materials and thoughtful details. The food is fresh, local, and absolutely delicious, and the service couldn’t be better. A heartfelt thank you to Spela, her husband Borut, and their daughter for their warmth, availability, and wonderful recommendations. Their dedication and passion for bringing their dream to life shines through in every detail.

Kind service and great lodges overlooking the sea.

Jean-Michel, Florida and the whole team are very helpful and kind. For example, we asked Jean-Michel in an email that we would like to stop at a "supermarket" to buy few things during our transfer from the airport to Doany Beach. He said okay. And soon he sent an email that he had noticed we would arrive on Sunday afternoon when shops are closed and offered that he buys what we need if we send a list, Wow. Doany Beach is beautiful with its white sand beach (no trash only shells) , crystal clear ocean in front of you, no dangerous currents, beautiful corals and fish for snorkelling (it is easier to find them in low tide). And there are no other tourists, maybe another family as guests. We could see sunrise even from our bed, we only had to open our front door facing to the ocean at 6 am. Brown (female) and black (male) lemurs are coming each evening or sometimes in the afternoon. We got bananas from the staff to make lemurs eat from our hands and let us stroke them (except their tails). As there are no shops or markets, you eat what you get. But do not worry, meals are perfectly delicious and sufficient and as a bonus, you eat in the garden with ocean view. Weather (sunny, 29-30 C, no rain during the day) and the ocean temperature were great. Doany Beach has filtered drinking water. We had no problems with WiFi. There is hot water in the bathroom. You may ask for how many night you should book. It can easily be one week. Lokobe Reserve is in walking distance, Jean-Michel came with us to show the way. It is worth checking Doany Beach's own website, where you see many boat tours offered (e.g. Lemurialand+Mont Passot+Andilana beach, Tanikely, Sakatia, Komba, Iranja, etc.). There are also many other program possibilities, like fishing, water skiing, face painting. You also see the prices on the website. Boat trip price is usually for the boat and not per person. We have had a beautiful extended weekend. I rate the VERONIKA Resort very, very positively. Truly beautiful, newly built resort, in gorgeous nature. The staff is very kind and friendly. The cuisine is excellent, number one. There's a beautiful coral garden right in front of the resort. The trips and overall organization are very good. The rooms are cozy, clean, and comfortable. I highly recommend it, and we will definitely return next year. Dorisy

Unique, beautiful, clean and relaxed. They also run trips to all the key beauties of the area - Nosy Iranja, Nosy Tanikely and Nosy Sakatia. The island is home to free roaming lemurs, who live in harmony with the humans - it’s very special.

Despite confirmation # they couldn’t find the reservation from Booking.com. Did manage to sort it out and they agreed to match the reserved price. Clean spacious room with 2 beds. Fan and mosquito nets, generator turned off at 2am though so got a little warm.
