If you're looking for a high quality local experience in Zanzibar, this is the place to go. Sandrine and David are the nicest hosts. They helped us before the trip with all questions that we had. Also, the breakfast was amazing and so was the lunch. I can recommend this place to anyone travelling to Zanzibar!

Everything this place is a hidden gem, the place is super nice, clean and the food is extraordinary. You will definitely be back for chef aly, and the staff was amazing, fatma was great great help. The hotel is truly the gold star 🌟 of Zanzibar. It is located next to the beautiful white beach. The staff were impeccable. They were both kind and professional. Chef Amr is a great star chef. His warmth and love towards his guest can be tasted in his cooking. The management was dedicated to ensuring we were comfortable. The place was very clean. We enjoyed the game nights as well. It was an amazing stay. We wish we could have stayed longer. Ooh, and the sunsets by the beach are breathtaking 😀

It was my birthday and I was surprised with a cake and staff sang for me including the live band during dinner.Very thoughtful and nice of them. By the time I retired to my room,another surprise was waiting. They made up the bedroom beautifully with flowers and candles and wrote a happy birthday with my name. The manager Rakeesh ( I hope I spelt his name correctly) was also very nice and arranged some entertainment at The Pavilion Restaurant . Upon checkout,we had missed breakfast and Benjamin was kind enough to offer us pizza. Thank you to all the staff at The Residence. You made my stay beautiful. Also the privacy of having your own pool was really nice.

The location is magical, not many tourists around, very paceful and calm. Staff go an extra length to help with any wish you may have and are genuinly friendly. There is a list of diferent dishes for the breakfast from which you can choose two... so there are many combinations and even if you stay longer you don't get bored by one and the same. Anyway it is difficult to skip the fruit platter so you just have to choose one ;-)

    I had an amazing stay at Aya Beach Resort! The Aya Beach Team was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The new chef's dishes were delicious and a highlight of our trip. The room was perfect—comfortable, beautifully decorated, and with a stunning view. Watching the sunset from the beach was breathtaking. Highly recommend this gem in Zanzibar!
