Perfect vacation. We spent our honeymoon here and had a fantastic time. Look no further if you want to spend a relaxing, quiet & luxurious vacation. The staff are fabulous (shout out to Anita, Ibrahim, Abdul, Adil and Latifa who went above & beyond), the food is exquisite (thank you chef Suleiman), the views are dreamy and the rooms are modern, spacious and extremely clean.

This place was amazing. Two-storey buildings were we had our huge "villa". The villa in this place means a huge apartment with bedroom, huge living room, bathroom and a terrace. Even too much space for me and me wife. The restaurant always exceeded our expectations - the food was good and not overpriced. Main courses were 10 - 11 dollars. Note that there is no alcohol available in this hotel (which didn´t bother us because we don´t drink). The pool was a basic one but just enough. When we stayed here for six nights, there was maybe max. 5 couples besides us. So very peaceful and quiet. The staff was also very nice, they were always happy to help and in restaurant they really made sure we had it all good.

Our experience is 10/10 we enjoyed every minute. A beautiful property!! Amazing staff was delivering outstanding service from early morning to last guest closed there door for the night. The restaurant and bar delivered excellent food and drinks with a high level knowledge and service. Fantastic accommodation right on the beach! Staff was absolutely amazing, super-kind and willing to assist at any moment and with any request! Bungalows are beautifully maintained, our beds were made every day with beautiful decoration, just like the photos on Booking show. Swimming pool kept clean and nice. Food in the restaurant was delicious and perfectly safe (fresh fruit and veg washed in filtered water). After receiving the confirmation that the bar also uses just bottled water, I think we tried all of the cocktails and genuinely enjoyed them! Our particular "thank you" goes to Precious, who helped us organize all the different tours around the island: snorkeling, scuba diving, Stone Town visit, a day at Kendwa and Nungwi beaches, turtle cave,.... always managing to find the unbeatable, best price! The sand on the beach right in front of the resort is probably the finest and whitest of all on Zanzibar! What we liked in particular is that the beach was also not too frequently visited by beach vendors, and they were definitely not allowed to enter the area around the swimming pool in resort. This really helped the tranquility under the sun!

AVO Boutique Hotel was exactly what we were looking for. A laid back vibe and fantastic staff. Nothing fancy or pretentious but everything you need. Great food, great drinks, great value for your money. The owner personally takes care of you and anything you might need. Super communication. Great advice. Well located for what we wanted.
