Great location to explore the best of Santo Antao island and very close to everything you need in the town itself. Staff was great and attentive to all our needs (transportation, laundry, renting poles, finding guides, leaving luggage...). Room was clean and our stay was quiet.

It is a very good place, if you look for an authentic village. It is managed by the local women association, and it is managed well. All is clean and well-kept. Good local food. The village is very quiet. The view is spectacular and the sunsets are idyllic. The village nightlife concentrates around a shop run by Antonio and it is a good place to meet the villagers. Great location in this cute town - next to some nice places to eat and with views of the mountains and coast. Also in a good location to do the hike to Fontanillas. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and the area is quiet at night - with the window open you can hear the sea. Also, a lovely breakfast.

In 10 days in Cape Verde it was my favourite stay! I loved the location. You wake up in the middle of nature, hearing frogs and birds. At night you can see the stars. Next to a beautiful waterfall and Xoxo valley hike. The staff is helpful and friendly. We had them cook dinner for us which we shared with other guests. Incidentally, there was a power cut - the staff cooked the dinner with candlelight and then we also ate it with candlelight. An experience to remember!
