We stayed one night B+B with our daughter and granddaughter who are with us from USA for 2 weeks over Christmas. We dined in the evening in the restaurant. Could not fault anything about The Peacock. Great location in the Derbyshire countryside - just 15 minutes to Chatsworth House. Rooms, food, drink, staff and management excellent. Our US visitors said it was the best place they had ever stayed at. Highly recommended!!

Stayed overnight as we was there to see Queen tribute at the Windmill Theatre which is just a 5 minute walk from there. Everything was perfect. Stayed in room 1 Loads of storage and so spacious. Bed was massive and clean with extra cover in the wardrobe. Shower was easy to use and lovely and hot. No facilities in the room for making hot drinks but just outside the room there’s everything you need to make hot drinks. Kettle and a coffee machine and a fridge with plenty of milk and fresh water bottles. Breakfast was continental that you help yourself to which was lovely. There’s a lovely modern dressing table and two comfy chairs in the room and large tv on the wall. Everything was spot on.

Surrounded by miles of peaceful countryside, this 19th-century listed building offers old-fashioned charm alongside modern comforts, home-cooked local food and local beers and ales.
