Absolutely everything. Everyone so lovely and helpful. Rooms are exceptional, couldn’t believe how beautiful they were. Beds and pillows comfortable, big bath sheets (towels). Breakfast sensational, black pudding yum yum! Can’t say enough good things about this property!!

Barbican House is a 4-stars guest house set in a late Victorian building, just 10 minutes’ walk from York city centre and university and overlooking the medieval city walls.

Barbican House is a quaint house very fitting with the town of York. The property is exceptionally clean and the room very cosy and comfortable with everything you need. Durga and his wife are very welcoming and accommodating hosts and the breakfast is a perfect way to start your day. Would highly recommend Barbican House to anyone wanting an authentic visit to York.
