Throughout our entire route, we stayed at different guesthouses, but this one was by far our favorite. The food was incredibly delicious and the rooms were very clean. The shower was spotless, and unlike most other places, there was a proper shower cabin and a hairdryer — which made a real difference. It was the only night we didn’t feel cold during the whole trip — the heater worked perfectly and kept the room warm and cozy. But what really set this place apart was the hosts. They were incredibly sweet, friendly, and polite. We had asked for Khinkali in advance, and it was absolutely delicious. They kept checking in to see if we wanted more tea or coffee. Even though we hadn’t arranged breakfast, they still prepared one for us — including some amazing local specialties, which they kindly offered us to taste. Although the location might seem a bit far, they offer pick-up from the end of the hiking route and drop-off at the starting point the next day, which was super helpful. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend it to others.

Agra Ushguli is a place made with heart. They’ve thought about every single detail, from the beautiful accommodation and thoughtful design to the extremely delicious food. The hosts are so welcoming, warm, and just truly beautiful people. I’ve traveled through Svaneti and stayed in many places before, but this is by far the best. Feels like home. A very beautiful, old historic house that they have taken so much care of. You can understand that people love this small guesthouse and give their best to their guests! The decoration is amazing, keeping all the traditional elements of the region. Very clean, warm, comfortable beds with nice linens and good bathroom. The people that run this place are beautiful and very helpful, they made our stay in Ushguli comfortable and a great experience. We loved it!

Beautiful and smiling hostess, good location, cleanliness, extraordinary bed. Delicious and nutritious dinner.The family has horses and we planned a trip to Shkhari which was out of the ordinary. I will return to the old tower. I recommend it.

Clean beautiful well renovated house, elegant interior. Beautiful view. Nice yard where you can relax and drink coffee. The host Medea is very hospitable and tactful. She helped us with everything: washing clothes, water, lift to the hiking path. Her dinner was very delicious (no lactose and no gluten as we asked). Red wine was included (we tried a little and liked it). It's a family house, but it's quite big and guest zones are separated so you have your privacy. Everyone is very warm and friendly. Big purring cat and wonderful little girl 💘 It was 100% our best stay in Georgia so far. True hospitality + great service, we felt very comfortable and welcome. Would definitely recommend.
