Without realizing it while booking we ended up in 'the fancy room' (according to the staff, but we agree). Very nice view of the coast and the glacier. Top breakfast and top buffet-style dinner (for a correct price). All home-cooked with local ingredients, which we really appreciated (some of the best food we had in Iceland). We saw the chef cleaning and filleting (big!) fish in front of the hotel, which was quite an experience. Very warmly recommended! p.s. The Snaefellsnes peninsula is so beautiful. It was definitely one of the highlights of our tour of Iceland, not to be missed!

Kast Guesthouse is a good place to stop for an overnight between scenic locations. They have a small eating place where breakfast and dinner is served. Dinner was limited to 3 options but it was fantastic options. Breakfast selection was also very good.

I spent only one night at this guesthouse, but I had a really great time. The position is excellent in the middle of the town with a wide space where to park the car. The room was clean, cozy and had plenty of space; the same for the living room where you can just sit on the sofa or the armchair and enjoy the view. There are three bathrooms, two of them with a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped. Additionally, it was very easy to communicate with the host, who promptly gave instructions about the check-in. I highly recommend this place if you're travelling around Snæfellsnes.

Beautiful cottage with a fully equipped kitchen. They even had an egg slicer. You have a great view to the sea, the room was cosy and the water was hot. Our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer!

The cottage was nice and clean. It is very convenient that you can check in on your own so late check in is not a problem. There is a nice restaurant nearby (Stapinn) and their soup was delicious, especially after such a long day.

Everything was perfect during our stay and we were so impressed with the modern but cosy design, nice size of the apartment and great service. Very clean as well, 100% recommend!
