Charming location. Beautiful traditional Japanese house. We brought pot noodles as worried there would be nowhere to eat but didn't need to worry as helpful host gave us directions to an izikaya a couple of kilometres away. Good if you have a car but probably not ideal to walk at night as not much pavement or lighting. Wish we had a bit more time to enjoy setting.

Stunning! Well thought out private dwelling, with juliet balcony where your bed is. Little kitchenette, with fridge. The bathroom is big and well planned out. There is a wood burning stove in the corner of the room so you can make it warm and cosy (there is also a heater/ac/fan, for all temps!). We were only there one night and paid to have an evening meal there. Four courses cooked by the owner, all locally sourced, delicious! Highly recommend this place. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the hiking in the nearby national park.

One of the most beautiful and best places we've been to. The hosts were excellent. They can prepare a BBQ, which is really good (it's a must do). The views are spectacular. The only regret is not having booked more nights.

I had an absolutely wonderful time at this homestay. The owners are very generous and the rooms are great. You also have a beautiful view Aso mountain. The breakfast is very large you have everything from fruits, cakes/bread, salad and some yummy savoury pizza like things. They only recently opened so please come by and enjoy their wonderful hospitality. You won't regret it.

Cute guesthouse in this small town. The host was just lovely. The Japanese style beds were very comfortable. Bathroom and other facilities were good. Easy parking off site. Can easily walk through the town to restaurants and shops.
