The host was very accommodating. Helped me find a salon to get my beard trimmed, helped me understand the metro system in Almaty and even allowed me to keep my bags at the reception at no extra cost as my train to Taraz was late at night. The room was spacious and clean and had all facilities one could require.

I liked everything about this hotel. The location is out of the city but it is easily walkable. It is in a quiet suburban area. The decor is clean, fresh, contemporary and colourful and the bathroom appointments are fantastic. The lady I dealt with doesn't speak English, and I don't speak Russian, but we used google translate and facial expressions, and we did well. Her help and attention to detail was excellent. I enjoyed breakfast; there were enough familiar dishes to balance out some that were different for me - all good quality with a really useful time that it was available. To have bottles of water replaced in the room every day was a bonus.

Charming Place with Minor Flaws Sweet Garden is a lovely guesthouse with a lot of character. The warm atmosphere and nice decor make it feel more like a home than a hotel. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Breakfasts were another strong point: homemade, hearty, and very satisfying thanks to Aliya. The location is also a big plus: quiet, yet within easy reach of the city center. That said, our room was a bit smaller than expected,. There was also some noise from neighboring rooms at night. But these were minor issues in an otherwise enjoyable stay. If you’re looking for a cozy, friendly place with heart this place is a great choice.
