We completely loved this accomodation. Location was perfect, as we came by train and left by bus, it was walking distance everywhere. Whole property is super cool with nice touches that makes it very cozy. Room was extremely spacious with very comfortable huge bed. I liked balcony with nice seating area, which we did not have time to use :) . Whole style of hotels gives you nice colonial vibes, which is so typical for this town, so it just perfectly completed whole feeling from this Sri Lankan historical gem. Stuff was super nice always have nice words for us and helped us with all the questions we had.

My friend and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Deltora Villa and I can confidently say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality by the owners. Throughout our stay, the owners provided us with exceptional service, going above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our visit was perfect. They were incredibly attentive to our needs and ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The accommodation itself was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, providing the perfect backdrop for our adventures in the area. But it was the exceptional service provided by the owners that truly made our stay unforgettable. I cannot recommend Deltora Villa highly enough to fellow travelers, especially friends looking for a memorable getaway. Thank you to the owners for an incredible experience – we can't wait to return!

Indika, his wife and his crew made our stay with their friendliness and professional attitude unforgettable. We loved our room upstairs with a full view over the thundering ocean, the waves our lullaby. As we were there at the beginning of the rainy season, the sea took the beach, but only a few metres away was a big sandy beach that was lovely. But the best part was the common area, facing the ocean, where also the locals enjoyed spending time and having a drink. We ate every dinner and breakfast there and the food was fantastic. Thank you very much! Just to be clear, as someone mentioned before, don‘t expect luxury or you will get disappointed. We loved it very much!

What a wonderful place to stay . The house is simple and rustic. It has everything you need and nothing that you don’t ! The beach was beautiful, almost like a private beach and you fall asleep to sound of the waves crashing on the sand. There are a few beach bar /restaurants on the beach if you fancy a change, and good local shops outside on the road. Shehan is the perfect host,nothing is too much trouble , his mums cooking is second to none and the best meals we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Absolutely 5 stars for everything .

The stay at Villa Arushina was exceptional. The lady took care of every request, the beautiful villa is impeccably decorated, a clean and air-conditioned room with toilet and shower. The internet was also excellent. Happily, I arrived at a great time - on New Year's Eve! I got to experience the holiday in a pure authentic way and learn about Buddhist customs and tradition. Eat local food through breakfast and holiday dinner. For me it was an amazing experience. I got to know a lovely family. I have no doubt that on my next visit to Sri Lanka I will return there. Thanks🙏🏼

    Great location on a quiet street. Staff were friendly & helpful in giving advice on where to eat and how reach certain locations. We booked a family room but were provided with two separate rooms which was great. Master bedroom had balcony facing the fairly quiet street, which was lovely. The rooms are a decent size with some wear & tear & were fairly clean. The place has good feel to it despite needing some TLC. Breakfast was plentiful with coffee/ fresh fruit/local and European offering.
