On arrival I felt immediately at peace as it feels like home and has the best energy. Shekhar is very generous with sharing his time to show guests around the hidden gems of Bhaktapur and knowledge of Nepali and Newari culture. Staying here wasn’t just a place to sleep, it was an experience of getting to really know the city and Nepali way of life. Staying here also reminded me of the important things in life - good company, community, music, spirituality, art, food, learning and exploring. It was one of the highlights of two months travelling Nepal which speaks volumes :)

We stayed four days and felt warmly welcome every day. We were very surprised how clean, quiet and well organised this cosy place is. Everything is done with love: breakfast, afternoon and night tea, cleaning of rooms, providing advice for places to visite, and to go for Lunch and dinner, and books to read. Super pretty and comfortable! Lovely to see the inside of this gorgeous Newari house. Quiet at night (but busy during the day), nice and flexible staff, just by a cute and lovely village square and temple. Very lovely inner courtyard and wood carving exhibit.

At Milla Guest House we felt at home. The location is beautiful and very convenient. The room is clean and in the winter time there is a gas stove to heat it. The owners of the house were wonderful, pampering us with tea, treats and a delicious dinner. We would 100% recommend staying here.
