This is a very special place. We had a very memorable stay as a family in the Deodar and Chinar suites. The place is better than the photos. What also made it extra special was the staff who were absolutely exceptional. It was amazing to be able to eat the fruit off the trees. And the manager Sajid is a real asset for the property. This wouldn't be Magpie Lodge without him.

Everything was exceptional, from the location, to the most incredible views from the roof terrace, home made food and finally the owner Ahmed who genuinely cares about his guests and knows how to create a memorable guest experience. He also did a bbq dinner for me which made my stay even more memorable. Thank you Ahmed, you are a true host with a big heart. I look forward to return and to resume my travels in Kashmir soon. Next time I will be booking the deluxe room (which was unfortunately occupied) which has the most incredible views and a private terrace.
