We have got our best stay here during a week in Madeira. Ocean and town view from room's balcony was very nice. Tony, the local host, was very helpful and caring at all times. He took personal care of every guest during breakfast, which made perfect start of the day! You can go straight from your room to the lava pools, which I did in the mornings when there were less visitors - and it was one of the most amazing experiences! We liked Port Moniz and the hotel so much that we booked a room for an extra day.

We could not have been happier with our stay. It was a last minute booking due to a cancellation, and we were thanking our lucky stars we could get in. Rubina and the rest of the staff just could not have been kinder or more helpful. The pool was just bliss with the amazing views. My boyfriend ended up proposing to me while we were out on a hike, and the staff helped him arrange a surprise bottle of bubbles for when we came back. They really went above and beyond.

I liked a lot about the accommodation. It was new, so clean that it almost felt wrong to use stuff, good location, comfortable interior and facilities. Compared to other accommodations in Portugal this is well above average. Friendly host/owner who is responding quickly, super friendly and speaks English very well!

Solar da Bica is a cosy and tranquil retreat. This comfortable guest house faces the mountains and has green natural surroundings. The Solar features accommodation in rooms and an apartment.

Loved Solar da Bica. The staff there are wonderful, the room was great. The breakfast was excellent, and I liked that they changed things up a little every morning. The sauna and pool was a real treat after a long day hiking. We also loved the little tuck shop in the reception where you could buy beers!

It's a nice apartment on the lower part of Prazeres. You will have a view on the sea and on some parts of the mountains. Lucky, there's a parking lot right next to the house and you only need 8 minute by foot to the next supermarket and pizza restaurant. The owner is very friendly and I was greeted with a clean apartment. There's a kitchen but it's only missing an oven. On the other hand, there are 2 big bedrooms, each with an own bathroom (shower and bathtubs). From there you reach Funchal within 45 minutes by car and the streets are in good condition. I made some hikes in the area and if you're not with a car, taxi (Bolt) there is no problem. Be careful about bus stops as I had trouble to find them. Overall I enjoyed the stay and would recommend it to everyone who likes to have a quiet environment and a more rural experience. For a more organised daily life, a clothes rack at the entrance would be nice so I don't need to put my jacket away in the bedroom.

Lovely place to stay on the hill side near Sao Vicente. Definitely need a car to stay here and it is a short drive into the town. Loved our stay here, it was clean, comfortable and had everything you need! Kitchen facilities were great.

Lovely hosts who were super friendly and eager to help, if needed. You could ask everything! Also, after hiking in the morning, it was great to be able to relax on the terasse with a great view of the ocean and the mountains! Definitely, I recommend staying with them! Breakfast delicious and fresh!
