He even helped me get a cab after my stay when it was raining. This is an old style house and will give you a good experience. You will be on a mattress on the floor which is evident from pictures. I thought the house and old suburb was beautiful. It was my first night in Japan, and although it was a decent walk from the station, it was a fantastic place to stay.

In terms of location, it was not in the city center but easily reachable with transportation.

The room was clean, and had all the amenities we needed. Even though the shower and toilet were technically shared with other guests it felt like we were the only ones using it. Plus our room had a private sink. Eric and Matte took the time to get to know us, tell a bit about themselves and it really felt like we were guests at some old acquaintances during that stay. The stay was very reasonably priced and we felt lucky to have chosen to stay at Bighem Maison. The house interior is very authentic, clean, and the handcrafted woodworking is truly impressive. The property is conveniently located close to the Kansai airport (just a few minutes away on the subway). We had to fly out the next morning and it was perfect. All in all, highly recommended.

The owner, his cat, and everything about Yadomaru was an absolute joy. The property was so clean, and really cozy. You can enjoy your nights with new people staying at there, and thanks for the free coffee and snacks!
