We have only stayed here for one night and needed to leave very early so we haven't ate breakfast. But it was a pleasure to spend an evening in this quiet place. It is away from the city center but it was an advantage for us since the city was not our destination, just a quick stop in our journey around Taiwan.

If you get the room with the balcony, you can enjoy the view while having breakfast. Peaceful and lovely. About 20-30 mins drive to Sun Moon Lake. I’d recommend this place if you are traveling by car.

It’s also near the bus stop and is super easy to find. We had a hard time getting foods for dinner since there are not many shops nearby but they were kind enough to offer us foods for dinner for free, which we really appreciate!

The staff were friendly and super willing to help whenever we asked. The free parking was good for us as we drove. Their 2 dogs were a bit weary of us at the start but quickly warmed up. There was a decent cooking area for 3 of us to prepare simple meals.

Because it was rainy weather during our visit, we spent the whole first day in the hotel room, which has super comfortable with tasteful furnishings, warm ceiling and table side lighting, spacious with a high ceiling, large TV screen connectable to Netflix, and mini fridge. 10 minute walk from bus station and bike rental and close to good vegetarian restaurant and cake shop too was perfect for a birthday trip.
