Lovely walk up over the hill to Ambleside crossing the stepping stones at River Rothay which the kids enjoyed. Tap Yard in Ambleside has a great selection of its own lager and IPA. The hot tub is nice after a day's walking. Cottage is well equipped, it could comfortably sleep 6. Selection of board games, books and DVDs.
