location was great, lovely quiet village with a few pubs and a shop - short drive to scarfell pike or a beach. The cottage was so clean and comfortable too. Had everything we needed. Loved the little garden too, breakfast in the sun was a treat. Had a great couple of nights sleep on a very nice hotel quality bed and bedding - very quiet and dark. Lots of parking on the street outside.

I think this property has been freshly refurbished as it was exceptionally clean. Constant hot water Loved having the games room, and the freedom to use the kitchen, and the location near the beach was great. From the outside you would not expect it to be as good as this.

It was clean and spacious. Hot tub was lovely and relaxing after a day of hiking. Nice easy stroll into the village for delicious evening meal. Didn’t actually meet the owners during our stay.

Jo, the host, was awesome. Very accommodating. Incredibly thoughtful additional extras in the room - from teeth picks to cotton buds, from coffee bags (like tea bags but filled with coffee - SO much better than the instant rubbish!!) Jo has thought of everything to make your trip comfortable. The view was amazing, the location is tranquil - the breakfast was very very VERY tasty!!! The rooms are well thought out and although not massive (we are used to North American rooms) there's clearly a lot of thought been put in to each room. The bathroom was nice and spacious too.

    The layout of the açcommodation. We live in a fishing village in Cornwall where we also have an upside down house and live above the bedrooms. The location was excellent and we enjoyed eating at the many places within walking distance and having budgens to walk to. Abi was able to straighten out any problems as were Alan and Nancy up the other end.

    Lovely calm environment. We where aware there wasn't much to do/go to eat in the village but there are plenty of places just a few minutes drive away. A Co-op amd pizza shop just a 10 minute walk away. The room was cozy and perfect for our weekend stay. We were welcomed and given information about the area on arrival. Scafell Pike is definitely recommended as something to do, though do wear proper walking gear.
