We were originally looking for accommodation on the beach, but not finding anything reasonably priced and to our liking, we moved our search slightly inland. And we are glad we did! The communication prior to arrival and the warm and friendly welcome from the host and her staff make Villa Calliandra an absolute winner. The family enjoyed lazy afternoons by the pool and appreciated the breakfast options. In the evening, we were able to try the traditional tea with the house manager. Nearby are the monkey park and the Bijilo Beach which the kids really enjoyed.

We love everything about the apartment, the position, which is just a minute to the main highway that leeds to the city and to different places, the apartment itself and the equipments are all clean and intact and most of all the kindness of the owners which was awesome. We stayed four nights in Queen Zee and the apartment has everything what you need . Kitchen is well equipped. Bathroom has hot shower and the terrace and pool area are very nice . It’s walking distance to senegambia strip. I recommend also the poco loco and Solomon’s beach bar . You can reach the monkey forest easy by foot and the crocodile pool by taxi . I totally recommend staying here.

Amazing customer service, staff were very pleasant. Location was wonderful. We enjoyed the design of the rooms and the facilities, wifi was excellent. The rooms had a very relaxing feel to them. Staff were very accommodating to everything we asked. Clean, comfortable, and cosy.

Having stayed at several properties in both Senegal and Gambia for 3 weeks (two which were 'luxury'), I can only say Riyan Apartments was my favorite overall: great quality-price ratio, extremely friendly, flexible and helpful staff and I will surely stay there next time I go to Gambia as well as recommend it to friends and family (I already have!). It had a 'Melrose Place' feel to it, the 90's TV series. The bedroom A/C worked perfectly which was a true lifesaver at night. Thanks so much to Fatima and all the team!
