Ortansia is far more than just a place to stay — it’s a home, one that embraces you with warmth and love from the moment you walk in. After a long day of travel, we were welcomed by the lovely mother-in-law of the landlady, and instantly felt like we were being received by family. It's clear that immense care and thought went into crafting this space. The house is beautifully decorated with handmade touches — from a striking wooden stump transformed into a side table to a unique lamp crafted from wood in the bedroom. Every detail speaks of intention and love, a far cry from the impersonal furnishings of typical accommodations. Though the mother-in-law did not speak English, the landlady kindly set up a video call to guide us through the house and explain everything clearly. Their thoughtfulness didn’t end there — as we were settling in, we discovered a delightful surprise in the kitchen: a selection of homemade treats, including melt-in-your-mouth cookies and large raisins soaked in a rich, syrupy liqueur. When we expressed our gratitude, they told us we’d be receiving a goody bag with these delicious cookies to take home — a gesture that touched us deeply. One evening, after returning from a breathtaking hike, we were surprised by a gentle knock at the kitchen window. There stood the mother-in-law, holding a plate of warm, homemade Greek donuts — freshly made and full of love. The owners also went out of their way to help with our hiking plans. They warned us about the weather conditions, which could have made our route dangerous, and even arranged a reliable cab driver to bring us back from the end of our one-way hike. The level of care and genuine hospitality we experienced at Ortansia is truly rare — even in a world full of beautiful places, few feel quite like this. We are so grateful to have stayed here and cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you for creating such a magical, welcoming space for others to enjoy.

Amazing house in an amazing village. The house is equiped with everything you can need and it is beautifully furnished and decorated. It would be nice to stay in winter one day. The host is great, always available and totally professional yet friendly. We loved the village, you can spend a day wandering through the labyrinth of narrow streets. Will love to return.

The apartment was in the middle of the city. It was a 5-10 minute walk to restaurants, cafes and stores. The apartment had a big balcony with a fantastic view of the mountains. When we arrived, we were pleasently surprised with a home made cake! The owner was a greek man who couldnt speak english, but we had no difficulties understanding him! We were very welcomed and the owner was such a sweet person. If we could, we would definitely choose this apartment once more when visiting the city.

We had a wonderful stay at Kanto's Guest House. The beautifully renovated stone village house perfectly blends modern comfort while maintaining its original charm, creating a truly special atmosphere. The room was a story in itself, adorned with unique legacy items and clever DIY touches. It was an incredibly cozy space, and the heated floors were an absolute treat. The kitchen was lovely and well-equipped. A special thank you to Ms. Olga, who was an outstanding host. She made us feel very welcome and provided us with excellent recommendations for sightseeing, dining, and entertainment in Stemnitsa and the surrounding areas.     The location is fantastic. Amazing view of the valley and the village. Great large balcony with plenty of shade. Few minutes walk into the village and all it has to offer - tavernas cafes shops etc. Great walks from the location, It was clean and had everything we needed in the kitchen. The bathroom shower worked very well and was modern with plenty of hot water. We were just a couple so there was enough space for us. It is quiet and peaceful.

    Room was very cosy and comfortable and located right in the centre of the village which was handy! Beautiful old building, and although I booked a cheaper room without balcony, there was a little shared balcony just outside my room with table and chairs and beautiful views, very peaceful. Hosts were very laid back, friendly and informal which made me feel right at home. Really enjoyed my stay here!

    Beautiful Old House, restored carefully and decorated with love and taste. Balcony room recommend. View is wonderful. We watched the goats leaving in the morning an returning on the evening (loved the Sound of their bells). Phantastic breakfast, everything homade, different things everyday. The host Aris was kind and shared a lot of usefull information with us. All his suggestions were great events for us (visit the village Karitena!)

    Everything was perfect! Great location, convenient traditional rooms, gentle and helpful staff. The best vfm option for somebody who wants to visit the beautiful village of Dimitsana and feel stress-free next to River Lousios at the same time. The spacious private parking space is one of the great advantages of this guesthouse too.
