A really lovely homestay in Ruteng! The owners are so lovely and we could ask for anything. Arranging a scooter, showing us the best way to go and even walk in their Kampung and tell us about traditions and rituals. Breakfast is really nice.

What wonderful hosts , so welcoming and helpful with tours and onward journey logistics. Idi is the ideal host, as his English and great conversations were a highlight of our stay with him in his family home . Our room was spacious, and ex lrg bed was super comfy + ensuite bathroom was adequate. The deck overlooking the lush surrounds was a lovely place to sit, Idi served us local fruit and avocados + fried bananas as welcome treats + we had a delicious dinner while we were there also cooked by Idi .our breakfast was also great with local breads and foods. A great experience in a unique homestay .

- Hotel owner really helped us out prior to travelling to Flores and arranged for overland transfers from Labuan Bajo to Ruteng and then from Ruteng to Bajawa. Both drivers had good English and were reasonably priced. Thank you very much to Dolvi (staff at Ara) for driving us and being so patient with the construction on the way and driving us to dinner that evening. - Large, spacious and clean room. - Beautiful surrounding gardens. The properties back on to a bamboo forest and river. - Simple and nice breakfast. We were served fresh avocado which came from the tree on-site. - Recommend to visit the spider web rice fields which are close by.

Everything! I just can't speak enough good things about Jeff (the host)and his wife!Seriously, he is one of the two nicest people that I met! Also, his wife cooks such a good food! Her Tempe is something special!! The place it self, oh my god, it so beautiful just to Jalan Jalan their! BTW, for somthjg like 60k(if I remember correctly) Jeff will take you to sunrise hike in the rice filde,its very recommended

This is thé Flores home experience! Very friendly, inviting and welcoming family. Irwan helps out planning your stay and can arrange everything for you. Ernesta is a great cook and dancer, and their 2 kids are a joy! We visited the “hobbit cave”, the Ramenese lake and did the flyingfox zipline and the traditional market at Ruteng. And to top it all off we where invited to a local wedding party 🥳!! How special is that! We loved staying with this beautiful family.

This is not ordinary accommodation. It’s a truly local experience with a local family. They welcomed us with a smile and they let us feel like part of the family. Facilities are basic but there are all the essentials: WiFi working well, comfy bed, (we had a private) bathroom with running water on toilet and a (cold) shower, a tasty meal prepared by the family. They speak good English and even the daughters do! The location is a bit outside the centre of the town and on a hill, but we liked walking around cheered by locals to watch the village life going on. We would definitely go back again. Udis and her staff were very kind and provided us with a very good dinner with a short notice and a very early breakfast to stick with our plans. She also helped us in organizing the transfer on our leave. The place is slightly outside of Ruteng; the beauty of the location, surroubder by rice fields, makes it worth.
