Excellent location in the rice fields and great atmosphere in the garden to hake dinner by the pool or just chill. One of the best meals we had in our trip. Don’t be afraid of frogs and geckos and other animal sounds, it’s the same everywhere in indonesia close to nature.

Possibly the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. In the hills above Borobudur the villas are aesthetically exquisite, a work of art in and of themselves. There is a king size 4-poster bed with mosquito netting in the middle of the room and able it a richly carved wood ceiling. The wood carving outside was also of the highest quality. It was like staying in a museum piece in its best sense. The staff are superb. Ridan and the rest of the team attended our every wish and always with a gracious and genuine smile. The food was excellent and we asked for it to be served on the verandah of our villa. Indonesian food is very sophisticated in its flavoring. Our drivers both from the airport and to Yogyakarta afterwards were efficient and helpful. A highlight was going up to Sinar Hill at 5.30am in the morning to the sunrise over the active volcano Merapi. Don't miss it. The sun rose directly over the volcano's peak when we were there. Coffee was brought to us. Afterwards we swam in their elegant pool then spent the morning in Borobudur temple complex in a VIP tour organized by the hotel. Another "don't miss it" experience. If you're coming to Indonesia, try to see Borobudur and definitely stay at Villa Borobudur Resort.

I stayed with my family at Omah Kepel in September 2023, and we all enjoyed our stay here. The atmosphere reminds us of our grandparents' house with wooden architecture, green grass, plenty of plants, and a peaceful environment. The beds were very comfortable, excellent airflow, clean, fresh laundry scent, beautiful nature, a wood-burning stove that we could use to cook "from farm to table" meals, free & nice nasi kuning breakfast, and as a bonus: we could harvest all the fruits and vegetables from Mr. Arya's garden for free, the nicest owner we've met. And we could also harvest from the surrounding residents' gardens at a very affordable price. We harvested chili peppers, tomatoes, long beans, green beans, eggplants, papayas, and salak pondoh! We will definitely come back!

Best place I’ve ever stayed in. The room is so comfortable, lots of pillow choices, modern quality finish, great shower with plenty of soap and shampoo, good size balcony, good cooking facilities and knives (for cutting fresh fruit from opposite the condo). Great light and ambiance options. Everything you need for a comfortable stay. Exceeded my expectations. Also got cleaned every few days to the highest standard I’ve ever witnessed. Parking is free and the lifts are quick. The location is perfect if you have a motorbike, and close to some really tasty restaurants (5-10 min walk), I recommend Indochine, we ended up going there so many times. The reception staff are lovely and you’re always greeted with a smile.

In 10 days of traveling around Java I had not stayed in a place that was so nice to be inside. The room was terrifically clean, the size ample, the air conditioner worked well, there was hot water, and a nice porch out front. My only suggestion would be to place a wall mounted electric fan on the front porch so that guests can be outside more comfortably
