Clean and Nice rooom with AC Lovely staff Amazing food

Very welcoming family. Great canoe tour organised and ran by them. Tasty homemade food for breakfast and dinner. Clean rooms. Also helped us organise onward travel. Overall very good experience and would stay again and recommend to friends who are in the area.

The hosts create a wonderful atmosphere and make everyone feel very welcome. We loved the sunrise boat tour through the backwaters and all the delicious meals:) Would definitely come back!

The room is quite big and really nice as well as the property. The homecooked food was amazing and the hosts were very friendly and always helpful. On my arrival he picked me up from the Trainstation for free and drove me around the area with his motorcycle showing me very beautiful spots. And he arranged a boat tour through canals for the sunrise the next day which was simply stunning and a really good price. All in all an amazing experience which I would highly recommend!

Uni and his family were great. This was my first homestay and I could not have choose better. You are far away from your home, but they make you feel like you are at home. And the boat trip? Oh just incredible. Great place, great people.

We loved everything about this property. Vishnu has created the most perfect space for ultimate relaxation on the beautiful canals of Munroe Island. Vishnu, his wonderful wife Pooni and their two children were incredible to us during our stay, helping us with anything we needed and showing us their island home. Pooni also is an amazing cook, providing wonderful local South Indian foods. Vishnu also took us on a sunset canal tour for multiple hours which was absolutely fantastic, with Vishnu explaining the history and traditions on the Island as we went along. Two bikes are also provided for us to ride around the Island at our own pace exploring everywhere. Overall we loved our stay, and would recommend to anyone who would like to wind down from their busy travels and relax for a few nights. With great wifi speeds, there is also the option of extending your stay and settling down with Vishnu and his family for a few months.

Very very very friendly and helpful hosts. They even asked their daughter who helped us a lot to reach our next destination. We met her at the railway Station and she came with us in the train and she showed us the bus we had to take next. Breakfast and dinner where exzellent. Best place to stay! The room also was very clean and comfortable!

Very clean room with good AC. The manager Sreenath was great to deal with and had great English and communication skills with recommendations for restaurants, kayaking and cycling. He knows everything about the island. He arranged a canoe trip at sunrise which we highly reccommend and it was cheaper than the other boatmen that tried to get us aboard over the next few days. The boat skipper was cool, calm and peaceful and they picked up and dropped off in the canal at the front of the property. The Sunrise trip was lovely and we would thoroughly reccommend it. It seemed there were many more tourists on boats at sunset and the wind is quite often blowing so wake and go early for the best experience. We only saw maybe a dozen tourists at sunrise but there were hundreds at sunset from what we saw. There was a nice Kerala breakfast each day (different each day for 3 days). We arrived a little late by train so the first night we had dinner at the property too, vegetable curry and chapatis were good. There is a lovely seating area at the rear of the property with a few chipmunks and birds and a hammock to lay in too. Bed was nice and firm and though we thought at first the bed was a bit too hard we slept very well here. We extended from our original stay it was that good. At this price point for this location the AC room and breakfast included is excellent value for money. Book ahead to avoid disappointment. Cold filtered water available always so you can refill your bottles to prevent plastic waste. The property is also a massage centre and they sorted my sore shoulder very well. Doctor definitely knew the anatomy of my shoulder workings very well.
