The house is gorgeous, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The owner's attention to detail and warm hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We're especially grateful for the generous sharing of their farm produce - the vegetables, rice, soy sauce, and BBQ sauces were all incredibly fresh and delicious. Room spacious and well-equipped. The beautiful garden view was soothing and refreshing. The gentleman at the reception was very helpful and polite. He tried his very best to answer our every question and helped arranging our stargazing night tour efficiently. Breakfast was good.

Iin the last 40 years I have visited over a dozen ryokans. This is by far the best. Incredibly friendly and helpful. Splendid accommodation. Beautiful surroundings. Perfect location. First class meals.

The relaxedness of this Ryokan is simply stunning. It was my second time in 8 years that I visited this beautiful location, this time with my spouse. The room was huge, we had a massage seat that was all part of the package and dinner and breakfast were delicious. The onsens were superior and the attention of the staff was superb. Over the years the level of English of staff members increased significantly even when google translate always works in case of emergency.

The host Michiyo was the absolute sweetest and kindest lady. She brought my kids to her garden to pick fresh veges and was so warm. The place was beautiful, and made the experience immersive.

Just 40 metres from restored Edo-era post town Magome-Juku, Chaya Hotel has simple traditional rooms with futon bedding and a tatami-mat floor.

The location was very good, the room was on the small side but very nice and clean. We slept very well on the futon beds. We stayed for 2 nights and had dinner and breakfast twice. The food was so good! The dinner and breakfast seems the same or similar always, but because we had dinner twice, we got a different dinner on the second day.
