Our stay at Tayooka was at the English style double-story house. It was an elegant and well-kept house with 3 fully-equiped studios on the ground floow. We had our pick of the three and chose what suited our needs - a place to cook and chill with separated quarters for sleep and chill/dine. The design was the traditional Japanese style with modern luxuries that allowed us to make good meals with all the kitchen provisions. Attention to details was very evident. All that we could possibly need was provided for. There was an onsen pool down the corridor, and it was well-supplied with alll the luxuries needed for a good soak and laundry if we so need. We had a great time recuperating from our drives, hikes and photo-trips around the region. In the morning we had the luxury of making drip coffee with the beans roasted by our hosts. Delicious coffee indeed. Sipping it on the balcony watching the four terries of the owners at play in the garden below.

I love everything about this place! It's so cosy, traditional house with the host making us feel like home all the time. Dinner and Breakfast served was delicious! Location was near ski rental shops and the ski lift. The sento was near as well. Probably the best Ryokan I've ever stayed in rural Japan!

Excellent staff customer service. Check in experience was a VIP treatment. From parking to receiving a welcome drink with a Daifuju mochi and a hot hand tower. We were seated at the lounge while the staff came over to complete the check in. Dinner was superb. Very high quality and very good variety. The chef personally came by to serve. Can see and sense that he takes pride in what he serves. Excellent. The GM also came by to greet every guests.

Wonderful hosts. Excellent property. Shame we couldn’t stay longer. Our host even called ahead to ask a restaurant to open to cook us a meal as we arrived on a quiet night. They were so wonderful and made the stay really welcoming. Thank you

Very kind and helpful host. Both he and his wife welcomed us even late at night, and even gave me a present for my birthday! They told us a lot of stories about the place and the region. It shows they put their hearts into this. The villa was spacious, beds were super comfy and AC was keeping the room in pleasant temperature. Kitchen had all you need to prepare or heat up your food. Also there was a bath in the shower so you can relax after the day. Highly recommend!

Moroyose is a beautiful little village by the sea. It is right around the corner of the Uradome coast and Tottori. There are a lot of beautiful beaches around and the train takes you everywhere. The house was perfect for 3 people but will also accomodate more. There is enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The house offers everything you will need and is a great starting point for exploring the area. The owner also showed us his house which is 140 years old and full of history. We were honored to be given a tour! The owner was also very kind to offer us a ride to a big super market in the neighbouring town Hamasaka and he took us to the onsen town of Yumura. It was an exceptional experience! We made great memories.
