I recently stayed alone at “Mila Homestay.” From the moment I arrived, I experienced the extraordinary hospitality of the homestay's owner and manager, Dila and her husband, Michel. I arrived rather late that day, because my flight from Jakarta was delayed. I was immediately offered a complimentary dinner with martabak, which of course I gladly accepted. The room I stayed in was not very large, but comfortable with good air conditioning, stable and strong wifi, and a bathroom with hot water. Mila Homestay is located a bit on the outskirts of Padang, but that didn't matter because it was actually enjoyable to take a morning walk in the rice fields and local villages behind the homestay. I will definitely stay at Mila Homestay again if next time I go to Padang!

Je n'évaluerais pas l'établissement nous n'étions pas venus pour. Par contre la sortie avec Johny et llana fut une fantastique journée. Nos guides se sont adaptés à nous et notre condition, un grand coup de cœur pour llana, qui avec sa gentillesse, et sa prévenance nous a grandement aidé, tu feras un très grand guide. Tout était très bien organisé que ce soit la voiture le treck avec tous les bons fruits. Une expérience que nous garderons

The hosts were incredibly welcoming and the location is stunning. The rooms have everything you need and the balcony offers a beautiful view over the river. The food was also delicious, every meal was a treat. The highlight of the stay was the jungle trek with their son Nabil and others. We were so well taken care of throughout the trek. Truly unforgettable days, highly recommended!

I truly loved everything about Mario Lakeside. The location is peaceful and beautiful, right by the lake — perfect for relaxing. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. What made this place special is the heart behind it. The owner, Pak Ali, is a kind and inspiring person. He also runs a foundation for children with cleft lips in Sumatra — which made my stay feel even more meaningful. Upstairs, there’s a vegetarian café with delicious food. They grow some of their ingredients on-site (farm-to-table concept), and I was blown away by the haloumi sandwich – they even import the cheese from the UK! It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a place that stays with you. I’d definitely come back if I visit Toba again.

La chaleur de l accueil, la qualité des repas,le bungalow au pied de l eau,le calme . Le service très prévenant et souriant des hôtes. La possibilité de louer un scooter nous a permis de rayonner sur cette très belle île en suivant les bons conseils de Burga ;-))
