We regretted not staying longer but already had the next hotel booked. Next time we’ll stay a week!

We immensely enjoyed the beautiful grounds, the wonderfully furnished manor house, but most importantly the excellent host James. Nothing was too much trouble. Wonderful breakfasts, an amazing three course meal for Christmas lunch! My goodness, felt so spoilt. Can highly recommend!!

The photos don’t do it justice. the property is gorgeous , absolutely perfect for group gathering. There is so much space for drinks and dinner , the kitchen is amazing! we had a big dinner for 10+ - plenty of glassware / dishware / platters for the event . It was spacious but cosy….Abbeyleix is a lovely little town with a few local pubs , nice bakery, convenient supermarket, gift shop… it’s so cute! Ross , the host, is brilliant ! Very friendly , helpful , accommodating , knowledgeable… such a nice guy. We were sad to leave when our stay ended!

We were welcomed by Jamie who was very helpful and friendly and gave us recommendation for eating/pubs in Durrow (we liked very much the Bob's bar in Durrow). The accomodation is in a very quite and very green location. I was easy to find and with a car it was very close to a village of Durrow. Our room had a lot of space, everything was very clean and the beds comfortable. There was also fridge available in the breakfast room to store our food. The breakfast was very good, with big choice of cereals (even gluten-free options), jams and fresh bread, but there was also cheese and joghurt available.

They were so mindful of our experience and went above and beyond to make our visit special. This was our first night in Ireland after a long night of traveling and they helped us check in early, ensure we were fed delicious homemade food, and answered all our questions.
