We booked a cabin for a one-night stay after our long road trip from the northern region. The staff was exceptionally friendly; she even introduced us to the charming small town and the information about the stores and restaurants that are still open for business during winter. If you prefer cooking, there is a well-equipped kitchen and a lovely greenhouse available for shared use. Some comments mentioned that the room was too small. While it is true, it was more than enough for just sleeping. The beds (and the pillows) were the most comfortable ones we had during our 16-day trip in Iceland. We would absolutely recommend this place to others who are planning to visit the Westfjords and are looking for a convenient stop on the way to the west side. Oh - and the kind staff even remind us to go out to catch the stunning northern light! :D

A recently renovated guest house set in Birkimelur, Strönd Guesthouse features barbecue facilities. This beachfront property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The guest house features a hot tub and a shared kitchen. Hótel is small but all facilities are quite new and modern. The shared kitchen has new kitchenware and very convenient compared to other hotels that shared kitchen provided very old and not so clean kitchenware. It is located in remote area so it is quite peaceful and beautiful scenic view. We are happy there is very good warm pool nearby. The pool is cozy and not crowded at all.

It was one of our favourite spots of our holiday, just because of the design. The visit from the doggos were also a treat, however they do tend to be a bit pushy and want to come into the units haha. The location would also be perfect to see the lights, however, we had cloudy skies.

The bed and breakfast features an outdoor fireplace, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. What a dream place, the decoration is perfectly curated. It felt as we travelled in time. The owner was a fantastic person and deserves congratulations for such special hotel.

The spacious apartment is composed of 2 bedrooms, a living room, a fully equipped kitchen, and 1 bathroom. A flat-screen TV is provided. The accommodation is non-smoking. We had a wonderful stay! The apartment is very spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable. It is fully equipped with everything you might need, which made our stay very convenient. Perfect choice for 4 people. The location is excellent as well, close to everything we wanted to see and do. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!

We did not have time, but there are several thermal tubs near the sea (maintained with some facilities for a fee and also some others for free where you are on your own).

It is absolutely one of our favorite places to stay in Iceland. Set in a gorgeous central location, this cozy cottage is a great base for exploring all that the stunning Snæfellsnes Peninsula has to offer. The Wifi is strong, the kitchen well appointed and the beds are comfy. Communication with the hosts was perfect and check in and check out very easy. Not that I wanted to check out. We were ready to move in! Looking forward to our next stay!

The holiday home has a picnic area and a hot tub. Our stay was wonderful! Iceland’s weather may be unpredictable, but its beauty more than makes up for it. Coming back at the end of the day to this beautiful house with stunning surroundings made our trip even more special. It felt warm and welcoming, like coming home. Our family (four siblings with our spouses) absolutely loved it—a true home away from home.
