Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). C’était super bien placé et super propre!

Incredible staff, they were very helpful! The rooms are big, and you even get a Japanese style greeting.

Le Kikunoya se trouve à seulement 7 minutes à pied du sanctuaire d’Itsukushima, un site classé au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Un hôtel traditionnel fantastique. Attention au petit déjeuner, 100% japonais.

L’établissement Bed&Cafe Onzo オンゾー vous accueille à Onomichi, à 24 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine. Stopped off here halfway through the Shimanami Kaido. Reo was such a good host and Tora is such a good cat. We chatted for ages and exchanged gifts. The room was an authentic Japanese experience.

L’établissement みやうら御殿 vous accueille à Imabari, à respectivement 35 km et 38 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine et Saikon-ji Temple. Not sure if this was a ryokan, but comfortable stay regardless. Location is a bit off the main road and up a hill. Close to Ōyamazumi Shrine and the main shopping street. Host very friendly and accommodating. This is an older house, and the rooms aren't soundproof. You're able to hear other guests talking in the common area downstairs. But it didn't bother me, and I was still able to go to bed early. The sounds just felt like being in a house with family. Washer and dryer are free to use.

Talk about the place: the guesthouse is cozy and warm. The shared facilities included kitchen and washing machine. The price of ramen and washing pods are the same price in the convenience store and may be cheaper. E-bikes are also provided with the cheap rate (1000 yen/day).

It was an interesting experience to live like a local in a tatami room. The owners of the property are very nice and hospitable people. In the owners' house, you can see a large collection of things related to the famous anime "Detective Conan". In addition, the respected owner showed us very beautiful lamps that he makes himself, and in the evening the owners kindly offered us to try a traditional Japanese tea ceremony with a sensei with the opportunity to make our own green tea. They also treated us to delicious baked sweet potatoes and gave us souvenirs related to the anime. It was very nice. At Yura Station, where the property is located, there are many interesting locations dedicated to the anime Detective Conan. If you are a fan of this anime, or just interested in Japanese culture and traditions, you should definitely stay at this friendly house.
