The accommodation features free shuttle service, full-day security and luggage storage for guests. The location, ambiance, rooms, onsen, and food were all excellent. I would recommend this stay for anyone who wants close access to Shirakawago. We had our own car, though it seems you could also utilize their shuttle service with some advanced planning.

The staff was super kind and helpful! A small but very intimate onsen helps you relax. Bed was comfortable. And the traditional japanese breakfast was amazing! I would come back again! Location was amazing- walking distance from the station and from the old town. The place was beautiful, and the rooms had everything. Futons were very comfy. The onsen was the best I tried so far (but I haven’t tried a lot). We did the private bath, and it was really nice. They also lend you yukatas to wear around the ryokan. And the staff were very friendly, hospitable and helpful!

The hostel offers hot-spring baths, free Wi-Fi and 3 lounges. Amazing tatami room overlooking the river. Good individual fridge and toilet. Well equipped kitchen. Amazing common rooms. Really a great place to stay at a good price. Helpful and kind staff, really. Great location.

Excellent: beautiful location, amazing staff, great service and excellent facilities. Definitely our best stay in Japan. No low prices, but certainly worth it!
