Things to know, the lodge is off the grid with good WiFi and does not have AC, but we were comfortable with our open windows and ceiling fan. The lodge accepts credit cards, but tours and water taxis are cash only so bring US dollars. Side trips to Red Frog Beach and Green Acres Chocolate are a must. Pack insect repellent and anti-itch cream.

Wonderful breakfast each day and good conversation with owners and other guests. Kayaks were very fun and snorkeling by the house was an added bonus.

The hotel is about 700 meters from Pipa Beach, which is one of the few beaches on Isla Colon that is good for swimming because it has sand and no waves. My wife needed a taxi to go to Pipa Beach because the roads are under construction and covered with big stones. The hotel is a short taxi ride to Bocas Town for restaurants and boat excursions.

The swimming opportunities right outside were fantastic! Our host, Ania, was incredibly caring and helpful, providing us with excellent recommendations for activities and restaurants. The breakfast was delightful, with everything we could wish for, and was served on a beautiful terrace right by the water. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

The bed and breakfast has family rooms. Very pretty location among large tropical trees. Carmen and Marcel are incredible hosts. For four days you feel like part of a family with the hosts and other guests. The breakfast is large and flavorful and the dinners combine great food with fun company. We also had two sloths hanging out in the nearby trees.

The property has sea and mountain views, and is 1.8 km from Carenero Beach. Free private parking is available and the apartment also features bike hire for guests who want to explore the surrounding area. We stayed in an over-the-water bungalow. It was roomy, clean, and had a fabulous view of the bay. It was quiet even though it was on a main road. Property was well maintained.

You should not search for a better restaurant as this is the best you will get. If you like tranquility and nature this is the place to book. Located out the center of Bocas town, close to Bluff beach. We had the pleasure to find 3 sloths in the garden and different strawberry poison frogs. Clean rooms, specious terrace more you can dream for this price. They even offer laundry service while you are away for the day.
