I had a wonderful stay in Gjirokaster! The hotel itself is nestled in a 300-year-old building, adding so much character and charm to the experience. The hostess was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, taking the time to share fascinating details about the rich history of the building and the area. The hosts don't speak English, but they are so welcoming and communication goes via google translate, which works fine. You can park your car just at their gate (expect a steep road there). The room looks very new. We would definitely recommend a stay here, especially because of the hospitality of the hosts and the delicious breakfast we received!

Everything about this property is finished to a high spec with great attention to detail. The bed, sheets, towels were top quality and comfortable. It’s a quiet hotel within 5 mins walk to the Main Street. There’s a couple of lovely terraces to sit outside. Owners are lovely and very helpful. We loved our stay here. The hosts recommended the restaurant Furra - although it is on the main tourist street, the food was amazing (pork belly esp, - so much meat and so tasty and the rocket salad) Enjoy your stay

Very welcoming owners - they treated us so nicely and they made sure we had everything we need. The rooms have an amazing view over Gjirokaster and the castle, it's lovely to sit outside on one of the balconies. Everything is reachable by foot: the castle, the city center, and the famous bridge. If you're staying in Gjirokaster, you won't regret staying at Himalayas! Oh, and the breakfast is delicious!

Joanna, the host, was welcoming, friendly, and very helpful with recommendations to visit the area. The video she made was very helpful to find her home. Without it, we would have had trouble finding her place. The location was great, and we enjoyed the view of the castle from her patio, where she served us a wonderful home cooked and traditional breakfast. The room worked well for us and was very quiet for sleeping. Joanna helped us park our car beside the room. Overall, we would not hesitate to recommend this cute and charming guestroom. Joanna's hospitality was heartfelt.
