A very old historic building of the 14thC. Neat and spacious common areas, good sized bedrooms; down feather amenities; logo slippers, gowns, and ten out of ten heating; very clean spa. Linen change as you wished and towels daily. Breakfast: it was above and beyond with fresh produce and a full basket of local dishes, Austrian hams and cheeses, scrambled eggs, fluffy viennese croissants, vegan & vegetarian diets, breads, desserts etc and a large assortment of juices, teas & coffees. Lunch and dinner: it was a pleasant experience too. The service of the staff: was excellent with very polite staff available to assist you in any in-house enquiries to suggestions for outdoor experiences. Location: location was value for money! Hotel in a small village, next to a large market center, a 14min drive to Salzburg Old Town and a 45min drive to the closest ski resort. We would definitely return to this gasthouse.

hotel is situated in a villa neighbourhood, and is newly renovated and refurbished villa- every detail is so elegantly made, schick and pristine in a beautiful color palate. the rooms are spacious and the bathroom is modern and comfortable. you can have a free ride bus to the city center or make a 20 minutes walk on the river to the old town of salzburg. we had an amazing breakfast with the freshest choice of healthy food and some traditional home made austrian specialities.

Super location! Only one minute walk from central square of cathedral. Unlike the expectation for the old hotel in Europe, all equipments are new and functional including sufficient hot water from shower and bath tab even on the top floor. I stayed at Bergland Hotel from 21.10. to 25.10., so I've spent 5 days/4 nights there. The staff was very friendly and helpful, upon check-in I received a map of Salzburg and a list of the best local restaurants/cafés, my room was equipped with a fridge and an electric kettle - with complementary tea ( 2 teabags + portions of sugar, replaced every day by cleanup staff :) ) The hotel itself is really pleasant and cozy, equipped with an elevator too. For 14€/day one could also receive breakfast there. The location was perfect, just a corner away there's a Billa store, all the major attractions are within a 15-20 min. walk, there are also 2 bus stops in close vicinity. I would 100% recommend it for anyone who is looking for a place to stay in Salzburg.

Very nice room ideally located close to the city center but in quite area. Certainly visit the hall arranged as coffee/bar if you have the NewYork room that is located next to the private bar, it's very nice !

location was excellent for getting around. The apartment was on second floor, no lift but there was help provided moving large cases up narrow stairs case. comfortable bed and nice apartment. located in nice old street.

    Fantastic location, quiet place. Very close to the lakes and mountains that were our main target during the prolonged weekend. Great to relax and take a rest after a whole day hiking / climbing. Room was spacious, super clean with a beautiful view. Rich breakfast included in the price. Hotel restaurant exceed our expectations offering delicious, perfectly served meals. The staff was always helpful and made us feel simply welcomed.
